Distinctive Scholar Program
This honor is granted to those in the upper echelon of the honors college program. Only ninth-grade students who meet specific criteria including a qualifying PSAT 8/9 score, a weighted GPA of 4.0 or higher, and active status in the honors college program are invited to apply. Those students who pass the application and interview processes are granted the title of "distinctive scholar" and are expected to demonstrate academic rigor throughout high school.

AP Scholar with Distinction
This award is issued by the College Board to students who receive an average of 3.5 or greater on all AP Exams taken and scores of 3 or higher on five or more such exams.

Parth Parikh Award for Outstanding Leadership
Previously known as the Award for Outstanding Leadership and Achievement, the Parth Parikh Award for Outstanding Leadership is awarded to one student from McDowell Academic Decathlon each year in recognition of exemplary contributions to the team. To recognize my continued commitment to the team's success, our coach renamed the award to the Parth Parikh Award and presented it to me at our banquet.

National Merit Scholarship Corporation
I was named a National Merit Scholarship Finalist by the National Merit Scholarship Corporation in this prestigious merit-based scholarship program. After achieving Semifinalist standing, I continued to meet program requirements, demonstrated high academic performance throughout high school, and completed an application process to earn Finalist standing.

Pivotal Essay Contest
This global essay contest is organized by Pivotal in partnership with Oxford University's Global Priorities Institute and requires entrants to respond to one of three prompts in the categories of Ethics, Policy, and Artificial Intelligence. My submission in the AI category arguing for increased spending on neuromorphic computing placed among the top 5% of all submissions.

My team placed second overall and was awarded a $500 scholarship to Gannon University. This competition included Calculus 1-level "questions pertaining to techniques of differentiation, some applications of derivatives, and limits."
